300 Series High Performance Temperature & Process Controls: From $206 List

Future Design's 300 Series sets a new standard for DINcontrollers. With 3 Inputs as standard and up to 4 control outputs plus Communications the 300 Series meet a variety or temperature & process control requirments. With a standard 3-year Warranty, the 300 Series are available as single display FDC-2500 1/32 DIN and dual display FDC-9300, FDC-8300 and FDC-4300 [1/16, 1/8 and 1/4 DIN].

With the highest input resolution for like products, fast scan rate and proprietary Fuzzy Logic Auto Tune the 300 Series provides world-class control performance. As standard the 300 Series includes Fuzzy Assist Auto Tune, Deadband between Heat/Cool outputs configured manually or allow Fuzzy Logic PID to calculate optimum value, Fuzzy Assist Self Tune and manual adjust PID and Proportinal Band Manual Reset.

The standard 3 inputs include: input#1 - universal t/c, RTD & linear mA/VDC input; input #2 CT or linear mA/VDC as 2nd PV or remote setpoint; input #3 an event input configurable for mutiple functions. Unique SEL function provides user flexibility & operator ease of use.  Parameters most significant to the operator [up to 5] can be configured to display in sequence when the scroll key is depressed.  [SP2, P, I, D, alarm SP, Shift, Cylce 1 time, etc. or nothing displayed].

Standard features include configurable display decimal point, hysteresis for control and alarm outputs, Output Limiting, PV Shift [bias], and more are standard.

Configurable Alarm Logic [process, deviation & band] with Latching, non-Latching and Alarm Hold. Additional features include one Ramp/Soak segment, timer function, dual setpoint [event selectable], view PID % output, Auto/Manual, Configurable Bumpless Transfer, Set Point Ramp, Max & Min PV values retained in memory, Communication via RS232/485 Modus or Analog Retransmission, PC Configuration Software and very shallow mounting depth. 

OEM or Distributor Private Branding is available.

  • #1 - Universal thermcouple, RTD and linear VDC/mA
  •  #2 Current Transformer [CT] or linear VDC/mA.
    • CT Sensor input for 0-50A range.
    • Linear inputs can be configured as a 2nd PV or as remote SP. As a 2nd PV it may configured as a PV or delta PV1/PV2, have assignable alarms with PID assigned to input 1 or 2
  • #3 - Event input configurable to change SP, PID, SP & PID, change remote to local SP, reset latched alarms, disable outputs or Lock all Parameters.
• Control Outputs: Up to 2 isolated PID control outputs; to have two PID outputs, #1 must be PID & output #2 is default PID Cool. Available outputs are:
  • relay 2A/240 VAC resistive [spst]
  • ssr driver - 5VDC/30mA or 14VDC/40mA
  • triac 1A/240VAC
  • 4-20/0-20mA into 500 ohms maximum
  • 1-5/0-5VDC or 1-10/0-10VDC: minimum 500K impedence
• Alarm Outputs 1/8 & 1/4 DIN: Up to 2 configurable Alarm outputs. 
  • Alarm #1: Form C 2A/240 VAC resistive 
  • Alarm #2: Form A 2A/240 VAC resitive
• Alarm Outputs 1/16 & 1/32 DIN: Up to 2 configurable outputs when Output #2 configured as alarm.
  • Alarm #1: 1/16 DIN Form B 2A/240 VAC resitive
