Based upon Future Design's dual display P41 Series Profile controls, the B42 board level profile PID control sets a new standard for board level controllers packed with performance to meet OEM needs for a single loop profiling control to communicate on a Serial modbus link.

The B42 is available with or without Display/Operator Interface Board. The optional Display Board has four buttons to change Setpoint and configuration parameters in the same fashion as the panel mount P41 Series . When used without the optional Display Board all setup & operator interface must be done through the optional Modbus communication port.

The B42, with up to 9 Profiles (up to 64 segments/profile), selection of PV inputs (18-bit), up to 4 control outputs, configurable Event input, PID Selection by Segment or Event input, PV/SP Retransmission (15-bit), serial Modbus RTU communication, fast scan rate (200ms), make it the right choice for a Profile control.

The B42 offers a full range of universal high resolution (18 bit) inputs; T/C, RTD and linear mA/VDC inputs. Power requirement of either 90-250 VAC or optional 11-26 VAC/VDC allows the B42 to be used virtually anywhere.

Note: The B42 is commonly used as a component in Future Design Controls nCompass LC control system.
